Leicester Square

Leicester Square is the heart of London’s famous West End. Housing the largest cinema screen in the UK (Empire, Leicester Square) along with the most number of seats (over 1600), the Square is home to leading film premieres worldwide and plays a huge role in the annual London Film Festival.

Catch the District Line train from Ealing Broadway and change at South Kensington.
Then take the Piccadilly line train and alight at Knightsbridge.

Oxford Street

Nestled in the heart of Westminster, Europe’s busiest shopping street is home to over 300 shops. Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

This UNESCO World Heritage site is reputed to be the largest and most diverse botanical and mycological garden in the world. Featuring over 250 years’ worth of historic garden landscapes that take inspiration from key periods of the art of gardens from the 18th to 20th century, this site continues to be a key contributor of botanical study and a must see tourist spot.

Wembley Stadium

With 90,000 seats, Wembley is the largest football stadium in England and the second largest stadium in Europe. Known mainly as the home for British football, it is fast growing as a top favourite entertainment venue for concerts, boxing events, rugby, etc.

take the 483 bus directly to Wembley Stadium.

By car, this journey will take roughly 20-30 minutes.

 

Richmond Park

Created originally in the 17th century by Charles I as a deer park, today it is the largest of London’s Royal Parks, spanning 3 times the size of New York’s Central Park, and roughly around the same size as Paris’ Bois de Vincennes. Very little of the woodland gardens, hilly landscapes and grasslands have changed over the centuries, and it now holds the status of a National Nature Reserve, and is a European Special Area of Conservation site. Popularly used as a location for shooting feature films, British television programmes, etc. Richmond Park is definitely worth a visit.

By bus, take the E8 to Ealing Broadway station.
From there, take the 65 bus to Kingston and stop at Nightingale Lane Petersham.

By car, this journey takes roughly 30 minutes and is 6.7 miles from the hotel.

 

 

Ealing Studios

Being the oldest continuously working film studio in the world, Ealing Studios is the also the only British studio to produce feature films and provide facilities for it. Known largely for its classic film productions, it has produced the likes of Passport to Pimlico, St. Trinian’s, The Lavender Hill Mob, and in recent times The Theory of Everything, The Imitation Game, including various interior scenes of Downton Abbey.
